Elegy by Richard Wilson Elegy, whose Sandy poem was entitled "Thanksgiving In the Country" and refers to the assassination of President Kennedy, went through several stages of revision; its final form was premiered in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1984, thirteen years after it was begun.
